Q. AMD HD4870 or NVIDIA GTX260, which is better and what are the advantages/disadvantages to each? A. It really depends on the motherboard you have. If you have a motherboard with aa single video card PCIE slot, go with the AMD HD4870. Additionally, if you have a AMD CrossFire motherboard go with the HD4870 as well. However, if you have a NVIDIA SLI motherboard you might want to go with the GTX260 because you can upgrade to another video card(s) later.

Hey Rodney, I am thinking about to buy a new graphics card because I see that my HD3850 512 MB gets pretty weak on new games. My favorite is the HD4870, but I still don’t know if I should take the 512MB or 1GB? I use to play on 1680×1050 resolution with AA. I dont have a crossfire mainboard. Which would you recommend? Thank you! Alex L.
