Ran the ATI Froblins Demo Showcasing the fact that the Radeon 4890 Has a dedicated Hardware Tessellation Unit, which was a feature of DX 10.1 — Many of the features of this demo are also featured in the Unigine Heaven Benchmark, but everywhere states only dx11 hardware can handle the the calculations. I can very confidently telly you that the Froblins demo is far more intensive of a benchmark than unigine heaven. This is why at some point I fully believe there will be a software patch enabling dx11 on ATI 10.1 cards. They may not do it right away, or some techie might make a patch, but it will be done. Heck it’s being done on my 4890, in this demo, right now, nuff said.

Just a clip of me goofing around in Crysis. I wasn’t doing the mission or anything, just trying to test a good capture with some new SSD’s. Fraps captures MUCH faster on SSD than it did with my velociraptors. There’s minimal frame loss with fraps running. It’s pretty awesome…. SSD Model: Corsair Force 120GB Don’t feel like posting the specs for the computer. It has very powerful hardware, that’s all I will say. I don’t want to start another nvidia vs. amd war as I use both nvidia AND AMD cards in my computers. I will do some benchmarks and gameplay tests when I get my new Radeon HD 6990. Stay tuned.
